Yash’s Old Vow to Avoid Bold Scenes Comes Back to Haunt Him

For his fans, actor Yash has represented middle-class values. When KGF became a national sensation, his humble origins were highlighted by them in everyday conversations.

After the recent Toxic glimpse video in which a sexual encounter is depicted in a cheesy manner, one of Yash's old interview clips has resurfaced online. In the interview, which was recorded years before KGF happened, we hear Yash say that he will never act in scenes he won't be comfortable watching with parents. The host applauds him for the self-prescribed gold standard.

Many are now criticizing Yash for not keeping his word. "The glimpse of Toxic is A-rated. Even if the bold scene, complete with moans and rough sexual innuendo, doesn't make it to the film, it's evident that he is positioning the film as an unabashed raw action movie. That itself makes it unsuitable for children," a commentator stated.

Yash, in his interviews, often mentions his humble beginnings (his father was a bus driver) and how his parents initially disapproved of his acting career because they feared it was too "complicated" for someone from their background.

Toxic is slated to be released in theatres on March 19.
