Sivakarthikeyan's ambitious science fiction entertainer Ayalaan has made its much-awaited Telugu debut on the popular OTT platform Aha. If you are a fan of spectacular adventures, you might want to catch it on the platform.
The film, which features Rakul Preet Singh in the female lead role, is directed by R. Ravikumar. A blend of sci-fi, comedy, and action, Ayalaan first hit theatres two years ago.
While the Tamil version has been available on Sun NXT for some time, the Telugu-dubbed edition faced delays in its digital release.
Upon its theatrical release, almost every critic lauded the visual effects in Ayalaan. The character Tattoo was praised for its expressive animation and the voice acting by Siddharth, which made the alien feel relatable and charming. Critics noted that the role was a "cakewalk" for Sivakarthikeyan. His comic timing and chemistry with the alien were highlights, though some felt his performance was "functional" rather than groundbreaking. The comedy sequences involving Yogi Babu and Karunakaran were widely appreciated for keeping the first half lighthearted and engaging.
