'Mana Shankara VaraPrasad Garu' Trailer: Minimal impact

From its trailer, Mana Shankara VaraPrasad Garu gives the impression that this is a low-effort entertainer with lacklustre production values. While it's not going to be as bad as Bholaa Shankar for sure, it might not be as entertaining as the most optimistic ones out are hoping for.

Chiranjeevi's RAW/NIA agent character has a 'family man' spin, topped off by a brand of humour the Megastar is no stranger to. The issue is that the husband-wife trope as seen in the trailer feels like a one-note extension of the Meesala Pilla song, a lovable chartbuster that has done more for the film than a 20-hour speech by Chiru could.

By now, many have started seeing the Venkatesh cameo for what it is: an attempt at adding the X factor to the second half. The irreverent way in which the Chiru-Venky converse in the trailer is the only relief; it is not along predictable lines. Hope director Anil Ravipudi has made the two superstars indulge in some wicked humour!

Mana Shankara VaraPrasad Garu, to be released in theatres on January 12, is being produced by Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments. Bheems Ceciroleo, Sameer Reddy and AS Prakash are its music director, cinematographer, and production designer, respectively. Harshavardhan and Abhinav Gomatam will be seen alongside Catherene Tresa.
