Powerhouse, high-calibre performer: Huma Qureshi's Toxic first look is out

When she was given the narration of the story of Toxic for the first time, Huma Qureshi was "bowled over by the sheer audacity and magnitude" of director Geetu Mohandas' intended attempt. The actress' first look from the international release was released today.

Sharing the poster, the Kaala actress wrote, "Each day watching you bring this to life has been nothing short of magical, my Captain. Thank you for giving me
the gift of Elizabeth and to Yash for being the undeniable force of nature that he is as we spoke.. This is going to be a fire."

Geetu found the casting the "trickiest". He knew that the actress portraying the character had to deliver an act filled with a "high-octane caliber and an
undeniable presence". He further added, "From the moment Huma entered my frame, I witnessed that she possessed something rare. She carried an effortless sophistication and intensity that immediately brought the character of Elizabeth alive for me. Huma is an actor who questions, probes, and challenges the artistic interpretation of a role and that dialogue became an essential part
of our creative journey."

Huma's commanding screen presence is hugely awaited in this one.

The action thriller features American actor Kyle Paul in a pivotal role. The film has music composed by Ravi Basrur of KGF and Salaar. TP Abid is the production designer. JJ Perry of Hollywood and Anbariv are choreographing the stunts. It is being made in English and Kannada. Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages will get a dubbed version. Produced jointly by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is a festival release.

Toxic, co-starring Kiara Advani, will head to theatres on 19 March 2026.
