A report by a national daily claimed that D Suresh Babu, Victory Venkatesh, Rana Daggubati and Abhiram Daggubati failed to appear at the Nampally criminal court in connection with an "illegal" demolition case on Friday. Suresh Babu, on Saturday, condemned the report, stating that it was not a failure.
Here is what the legal team representing the Daggubatis said:
"The said news is completely contrary to official judicial records and has been published by distorting the facts. There is no urgency for personal appearance as per the court itself. Furthermore, the court stated that the circumstances of the case do not warrant the issuance of Non-Bailable Warrants (NBW) against my client or the other accused. The matter was adjourned to January 9, 2026, solely for the disposal of Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions. Even on January 9, 2026, the case was further adjourned only for the resolution of those petitions and not for personal appearance. Despite the existence of such clear legal records, the said English daily has misled the public and caused damage to reputation by publishing a sensationalized report contrary to the facts. Sri D. Suresh Babu has been extending full cooperation to the legal process and maintains absolute faith in the judiciary. He reserves all legal rights to take action against those responsible for this false publication. He urges the media to observe responsible journalism by verifying official court records before publishing news that severely impacts the reputation of individuals."
Venkatesh will be seen in a 15-minute cameo in Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu this January 12. Later this year, he will be seen in Trivikram's Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 - AK 47 and Drushyam 3.
