Mythri Movie Makers has confirmed an iconic project with one of the biggest superstars and one of the most high-profile directors of Indian cinema. On Wednesday, producers Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni confirmed that Icon Star Allu Arjun will be doing an epic-scale movie with Kollywood director Lokesh Kanagaraj. For the latter, it's a quantum jump. While he has previously directed Rajinikanth and Thalapathy Vijay, he is getting to wield the megaphone for a pan-Indian star for the first time. And the market potential of this combination is magnificent.
Mythri Movie Makers (for Allu Arjun, this is a reunion with his Pushpa duology producers) has united with BV Works on the prestigious project. Bunny Vas is co-producing this one. He is joined by three others: Nutty, Sandy, and Swathi.
Lokesh Kanagaraj is on cloud nine. "Looking forward to kicking off this journey with you, sir (referring to the hero). Let's make it a massive blast. Once again with my brother Anirudh," the filmmaker wrote.
Anirudh Ravichander, known for his stimulating BGMs, is on board. This one will be tentatively referred to as AA23. Set to go on the floors later this year, this one is Lokesh's 7th directorial venture. Describing the Coolie and Vikram maker as a maverick, the Pushpa 2 actor wrote, "I SAY 23. Goin on a spree. Low-Key G. Locked in mentally. That’s a guarantee! (sic)."
