Actress Anu Emmanuel of Agnyaathavaasi and Naa Peru Surya fame has a role in Rashmika Mandanna's The Girlfriend. A day before the release of the movie's trailer, the makers gave a snapshot of her character. As Durga, hers will be a special and interesting role in the rom-com.
Director Rahul Ravindran stated that it’s been such a pleasure to work with Anu. "Thank you for bringing Durga to life with so much sass and style," he wrote.
The film's trailer will be released on Saturday afternoon at an event to be held at AAA Cinemas, Hyderabad.
Actor Deekshith Shetty is the male lead. "For the first time in my career, a producer paid me advance money for another movie even before the ongoing project was completed. Allu Aravind garu was impressed with my performance in the rushes," Shetty recently said in an interview.
Produced by Geetha Arts, Mass Movie Makers, and Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment, this one is bankrolled by Dheeraj Mogilineni and Vidya Koppineedi. Allu Aravind is the presenter. The Girlfriend has music by Hesham Abdul Wahab.
Fans can mark their calendars for November 7, when the film will hit the big screen across five major languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
