Baahubali: The Epic may have been the most prestigious re-release in the history of Tollywood, but Shiva's re-release is interesting in its own right. Its trailer, released on Tuesday, featured Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, and Allu Arjun, among other stalwarts. Rajamouli, Mani Ratnam, Sandeep Vanga and Nag Ashwin joined the party to endorse the classic, speaking of how they were shaken by it. Prabhas described it as the most impactful movie, while Mahesh said that he watched it ten times in a theatre.
In the trailer of the film at least, none except Mani Ratnam uttered the name of Ram Gopal Varma. The controversial filmmaker, who has made provocative tweets against some of the biggest names, has been deemed a persona non grata.
It's also likely that some of them did mention RGV's name but those portions were not included in the trailer cut.
Shiva will re-release on November 14.
