Vishwak Sen, the true Global Star

Vishwak Sen is going global with CULT. That's the title of his next directorial venture fronted and bankrolled by him. How does the actor plan to go global with the film? By releasing it in Japanese, Spanish, and English (no, he is not pranking).

The film is touted to be a new-age party thriller, which could mean that its story will blend the suspense and high stakes of a thriller with the setting and atmosphere of a contemporary party, probably incorporating modern themes, technologies, and social dynamics.

After a series of flops (read Mechanic Rocky, Laila, and Gangs of Godavari), it is interesting that Vishwak is now aiming for an international release of CULT. Tharun Bhascker of Pelli Choopulu and Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi fame is penning the dialogue.

If CULT doesn't secure an international release, Vishwak will be mocked and ridiculed by netizens. In the past, a couple of films aimed for a theatrical release in foreign languages, but they were eventually released only in Telugu. For Vishwak's own good, CULT shouldn't end up being another such film.
