Dr. Sailesh Kolanu, the director of HIT 3, is no fan of movie reviews. In his latest interview, he commented that the art of critiquing has been turned into buffoonery.
"Those reviewers watch the FDFS show, rush home, and hurriedly arrange their cameras with the sole aim of being the first to publish their reviews. They only end up vomiting views. They don't give themselves any time. Will you accept my movie if I make it hurriedly in two days? A review has to analyze the crafft and all. My grandfather was an esteemed film critic who used to sit with the likes of NTR and ANR. He never did something that would have damaged the cinema ecosystem," Sailesh said.
The other day, director Karthik Subbaraj of Retro also said something similar. He suggested that he doesn't go through reviews any longer because they have lost their credibility in his eyes. "They are not authentic," the Jigarthanda director said.
Both HIT 3 and Retro were released on the same day (May 1).
