Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and Minister Ponnam Prabhakar have lauded Kannappa. They watched its special screening hosted by Dr. Mohan Babu.
Bhatti Vikramarka said that the devotional epic drama has exceeded expectations, adding that it is a marvel. Congratulating Mohan Babu for producing such a "magnificent film", he added that Manchu Vishnu is fab in it. Calling it a milestone film, the Congress leader praised its visuals.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy appreciated the father-son duo for bringing Kannappa's story to life. "The film is crafted in such a way that devotees of Lord Shiva will be deeply moved. It’s important to make our stories known to a wider audience," he added calling upon filmmakers to make such movies now and then.
Kannappa is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. It stars Prabhas in an extended cameo. Preity Mukundan is its heroine.
