Who in Hollywood copied Pushpa song Oo Antava?

Oo Antava from Pushpa: The Rise was a sensational chartbuster. The Allu Arjun-Samantha Ruth Prabhu song, set to tune by Devi Sri Prasad, played a great role in popularizing the action drama entertainer among the Hindi audience. A music video made somewhere in Turkey has allegedly lifted the tune.

The other day, speaking at an event, DSP remarked, "Hollywood has copied my song". He added that he was mulling over filing a suit to claim damages for plagiarism.

While DSP loosely used the word 'Hollywood', it's evident that the song can be traced to Turkey. Atiye is the singer's name and Anlayana is the name of the song.

After DSP's speech, a social media user pulled out a clipping of the contentious song. The social media post has gone viral, surprising many Indian movie buffs.

Debates are bound to follow soon. Some might argue that it's not a case of plagiarism but a case of sampling, something very common in the world of music. Many Anirudh songs can be attributed to sampling of foreign songs. It's for music experts to decide what the latest song should be described as.
