Tollywood director trashes 'KGF', trolls audience

In an interview last year, Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap said that you can't sit in a room with ten independent directors. He suggested that they are so pretentious that their 'I know everything' attitude will put anybody off. They might have made just one film but they behave as though they are geniuses.

Venkatesh Maha, the director of 'Care Of Kancharapalem', has displayed such an attitude while criticizing 'KGF' in a roundtable convo involving Nandini Reddy, Indraganti Mohanakrishna, Shiva Nirvana, and Vivek Athreya. The chit-chat was moderated by a senior journalist.

In the session, the 'Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya' maker described 'KGF' as a mindless film where a mother asks her son to become great and the son goes on to become a gangster-like behemoth who achieves impossible things. He described the film's protagonist as a 'neech kameen kutte' as his fellow panelists burst into laughter. "And the audience cheer for such a stupid movie," Maha indicated.

Netizens are trolling the Tollywood director for targeting 'KGF' just because it is a non-Tollywood film. "In 'Businessman', Mahesh Babu terrorizes the whole country. It is as impossible as what Yash's character does in 'KGF'," a Twitter user opined.
