Sitaare Zameen Par is the title of Aamir Khan's upcoming theatrical release. Scheduled to hit the cinemas on June 20, its trailer was released recently.

As per the latest reports in the Bollywood media, Aamir Khan is planning something radical. The film won't be released on any OTT platform ever. Bollywood movies stream on streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Jio Hotstar eight weeks after their theatrical release. Aamir, in recent interviews, criticized this model. As per the Dangal actor, the streaming culture has destroyed the commercial viability of Bollywood movies.

He is walking the talk by doing away with an OTT release altogether. Sitaare Zameen Par will stream on YouTube instead. As per a media report, Aamir Khan's production house plans to make it a pay-per-view thing on YouTube. But this could lead to rampant piracy of the movie in no time.

Sitaare Zameen Par is an adaptation of a Spanish movie named Champions, released in 2018. Five years later, an English-language remake of the same name directed by Bobby Farrelly was released. Produced by Aamir Khan himself, Sitaare Zameen Par has music composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy. It is directed by RS Prasanna.
