Although it is the heroes who bring in the money, it is not uncommon for film industry folks to see some female actors as their lucky mascots. Samantha was the female lead in Janatha Garage, one of Mythri Movie Makers' early hits. Rangasthalam's success was primarily due to its director, hero, and music director. However, Samantha was its female lead, a face common to its aforementioned previous hit and its subsequent BO success stories, namely, Pushpa: The Rise (the 'Oo Antava' song) and Vijay Deverakonda's Kushi.
Samantha recently debuted as a producer with Subham, a film Mythri backed as a distribution partner.
