Bollywood actor Bobby Deol was seen as the chief antagonist in Ranbir Kapoor's Animal in 2023. Undoubtedly, the role has proved to be a game-changer in his second innings as an actor. So much so, his characterization in Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film Hari Hara Veera Mallu was redesigned after Animal. Mughal emperor Aurangzeb is what he will be seen as in the July 24th release.
Talking about the decision to redesign the character, director Jyothi Krishna says that Bobby Deol was spellbinding in Animal. "His ability to convey emotions through expressions alone, despite the character's lack of dialogues was something we all were blown away by. I decided to change the arc of his character in our film too,” the director of the Power Star movie says, revealing that the makeover will be radical.
So, how was the new design finalized? What went into remaking the character. "The character's personality, backstory, motivations, and physicality were given an uplift under the influence of Animal," Jyothi Krisna adds.
In a lot of scenes in Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Bobby Deol will be expressing his rage and other emotions through his eyes. His screen presence in the historical action drama is expected to be extremely intense.
