On Wednesday, the RCB victory parade after its IPL triumph witnessed a major stampede. Several have died and nearly 50 have been hospitalized.
The stampede has brought the Sandhya Theatre stampede issue back into public memory. Many on social media are remembering that the Revanth Reddy government jailed Allu Arjun over the death of a woman on the grounds that he allegedly continued to watch Pushpa 2 in the cinema hall even after being informed about the stampede. Today, the RCB team should have ideally called off the felicitation ceremony after a much worse tragedy that killed about 11.
Netizens said that, if the Allu Arjun arrest is any precedent to go by, then a FIR has to be lodged against the Team RCB, organizers and others.
Allu Arjun was arrested days after Pushpa 2 hit the cinemas in December last year.
