Prabhas' The Raja Saab will head to theatres on December 5. The grand worldwide release of the pan-Indian movie will be exceptional. It is directed by Maruthi and produced by Pople Media Factory.
Balakrishna's Akhanda 2 is being planned for a mid-December release. The film, directed by Boyapati Sreenu, is not willing to clash with Pawan Kalyan's OG in the last week of September. It is unlikely that Akhanda 2 will prefer a Sankranthi 2026 release.
So, all indications are that it will be a tight race between Prabhas and Balakrishna this December.
The Raja Saab is a romantic horror-comedy with a vast potential in both Telugu and Hindi. On the other hand, Akhanda 2 is a mass action entertainer with supernatural elements. Its potential in Hindi remains uncertain. Its only advantage is that it is a sequel. Boyapati Sreenu's track record is not inspiring enough. His previous release, Skanda, was a flop.
