Dr. Rajendra Prasad, fresh off receiving the prestigious Padma Shri award for his contributions to cinema, is set to lead a new family entertainer titled Pithapuramlo (Ala Modalaindi is the tagline). Directed by Mahesh Chandra, known for films like Preyasi Raave, Aalasyam Amrutham, and Hanumanthu, the movie has completed shooting and is now in post-production. The team has promised an imminent release date announcement.

Mahesh Chandra has described the soon-to-be-released movie as a grounded love story that revolves around the deep anguish of three fathers. He added that the story of the family drama is drawn from real-life issues relevant to today's internet-savvy generation. "While watching this film, it will feel like you are seeing the society around you, many families, and the lives of many people," the director shared.

The film is far from being a heavy sentimental drama. It packs in romance, solid entertainment, punchy dialogues, and memorable songs to appeal to both youth and family crowds.

The title draws from Pithapuram, a place that has grabbed headlines recently for various social and political developments in Andhra Pradesh. The team has woven the story against that backdrop. It's a non-preachy story.

Rajendra Prasad plays the protagonist, and the director singled out his performance in the climax as particularly outstanding. The crew also took the occasion to congratulate the actor on his Padma Shri honor, noting with pride that the movie will mark his first theatrical release since the recognition.

Mahesh Chandra Productions' Dundigalla Balakrishna, Akula Suresh Patel, and FM Murali (Godari Kittayya) have ensured that the movie's production was finished in time. Kedar Shankar, Mani Chandana, Jayavahini, Annapurnamma, Dasari Padma, Sunny Akhil, Virat, Sai Praneeth, Srilu, Pratyusha, Rehana, Jr. Pawan Kalyan, JDV Prasad, 'KA Paul' Ramu, and Jabardasth Seshu are part of the cast.
