Adivi Sesh's Dacoit won't be hitting the cinemas on March 19. It has been postponed and an official date will be out later this week.
The postponement is beneficial for the film's commercial prospects. It avoids clashing with Dhurandhar 2, which is expected to be a colossus in the Hindi market. In Telugu, too, Ranveer Singh's sequel is expected to pose a less-than-stratospheric threat to straight Telugu releases that week. So, Dacoit's postponement is pragmatic.
Rumoured new release date:
April 10 is said to be under the active consideration of the makers. This will be locked with certainty if Pawan Kalyan's Ustaad Bhagat Singh doesn't choose the date.
An ensemble cast, a high-profile crew:
Mrunal Thakur is the female lead, maintaining a 'blow hot, blow cold' relationship with the hero. Anurag Kashyap plays the chief antagonist. Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla will be seen in other major roles.
Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, the film is directed by Shaneil Deo. Danush Bhaskar is the cinematographer. Bheems Ceciroleo is the music director. The action choreography is by A Vijay, Naba, Maibam Nabakanta, and King Solomon.
