The Aadi Saikumar starrer Shambhala has officially transitioned from a theatrical hit to a digital phenomenon. Since its premiere on the aha OTT platform on January 22, the supernatural mystical thriller has witnessed an explosive reception.
As per the OTT platform, the film has surpassed the 100 million viewing minutes milestone. This is nothing less than a blockbuster digital run.
While the film enjoyed a successful run in cinemas, it is finding a second, even more powerful life on streaming. Praveen K Bangari’s visuals have been praised for their high-quality aesthetic. Sri Charan Pakala’s background music has been cited as a major highlight.
Upon the movie's theatrical release in December 2025, almost all critics agreed that Aadi delivered one of his most mature and restrained performances to date. The Hindu noted that his performance was the "strong, broad shoulder the film rests on." The core concept (a geoscientist investigates a mysterious meteor in a superstitious village) was seen as fresh and engaging, especially the first 20 minutes and the interval block.
Directed by Ugandhar Mani, Shambhala is produced by Mahidhar Reddy and Rajashekhar Annabhimoju. Archana Iyer, Swasika, Madhunandan, Ravi Varma, Shiju AR and others have played different roles.
