Mahesh Babu tasted supreme success with Pokiri, the 2006 blockbuster. In his latest interview, the actor revealed that he didn't know what to do after its release.
"Pokiri made me a star. It was such a huge hit. It changed so much for me that I literally got confused. I got into a space where the audience's expectations were so high that I was clueless as to what to do next," Mahesh Babu shared, elaborating on the paradox of success.
While Pokiri endowed Mahesh with superstardom, it was Okkadu that made him a star hero. Its release in 2003 changed the graph of his career. Everyone started believing that an action hero capable of understated performances had arrived. Pokiri, directed by Puri Jagannadh, was a bigger hit and it also reimagined Mahesh as a potential challenger to Pawan Kalyan's stamina.
