For the first time in more than a year, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has spoken about Animal Park. The sequel to Animal will commence its shoot in the second half of 2027.
"Animal Park will start soon once I finish my current film, and there will be more 'animals' this time. The story is a war between two brothers who look alike. As of now, the plan is to begin shooting in mid-2027," the director told the media ahead of the Japanese release of Animal.
This timeline is highly contingent upon Prabhas' Spirit getting ready for a theatrical release on 5 March 2027 as announced. If it gets delayed, Animal Park's production timeline will get pushed further. Vanga will then have to work on the pre-production of Animal Park and get its score completed before the shoot begins.
Ranbir Kapoor can't wait to commence its shoot. The Bollywood superstar is doing a duology based on the Ramayana. 'Ramayana: Part 1' will be a Diwali 2026 release, while 'Ramayana: Part 2' will be a Diwali 2027 release.
