Year 2026 will decide if a new set of young filmmakers are going to take Tollywood by storm in the coming years. At least five filmmakers are on the cusp of achieving something big with their big-budget spectacles.

The first one, obviously, is Peddi. The Ram Charan movie is coming from Buchi Babu Sana, the second-time director. If this film becomes a super-hit in Telugu and a hit in Hindi, the Uppena director will be the most in-demand among youngsters.

Chiranjeevi's Vishwambhara, directed by Vassist Mallidi, is another major outing. A fantasy adventure film, the success of this film will mean that a new visionary director has emerged in Telugu cinema. Mallidi's Bimbisara was a blockbuster.

Swayambhu, directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, is another film that will be keenly watched. The Nikhil Siddhartha movie is a period historical drama. Its success in Telugu and Hindi will cement Nikhil's stardom.

Srikanth Odela's The Paradise and Ravi Kiran Kola's Rowdy Janardhana will go together. They are both ultra-violent movies with themes like gangsterism, redemption, and more as key ingredients. The Paradise is aiming for an international release. In comparison, Vijay Deverakonda's movie is less ambitious.

Karthik Dandu-directed Vrushakarma stars Naga Chaitanya in the lead. This mystical thriller is being made on an ambitious scale. It goes along with Sambarala Yeti Gattu, directed by KP Rohith. Vrushakarma stars Naga Chaitanya in the lead, while SYG is headlined by Sai Dharam Tej.
