Vaanara: Adaraho is Vivek Sagar's new-age musical

In Vaanara, the male lead might be an underdog but he wears the attitude of a Ravi Teja. The hippie song, Adaraho, amply demonstrates this massy yet understated characterization. Avinash Thiruvidhula helps out political leaders at a party office. He has hidden motives, and his seemingly eccentric style is backed by the spirit of the latest bilingual number. Set to tune by the new-age composer, Vivek Sagar, it is written by the music director along with Bharadwaj Gali. Monkeys, which hold a spiritual symbolism, are motifs the film relies on.

Starring Simran Choudhary as the heroine, the film's teaser was released recently. The socio-fantasy entertainer has the distinction of its male lead himself wielding the megaphone. Nandu plays the chief antagonist. Khadgam Prithvi, Kona Venkat, Satya, Aamani, Shivaji Raja, Chammak Chandra, Racha Ravi, and others are part of the cast.

Vishwajith, who has penned the story and screenplay, has worked with dialogue writer Sai Madhav Burra of RRR, Mahanati and Gautamiputra Satakarni fame. Avinash Buyani, Alapati Raja, and C. Ankit Reddy are bankrolling this one. Narni Srinivas is the production designer, while Chota K Prasad is the editor. Sujatha Siddharth is the cinematographer.

The rural action drama with mythological elements will head to theatres on December 26.
