Avantika Vandanapu, the child artist of Brahmotsavam, Premam and Agnyaathavaasi fame, lives in the US. The 19-year-old American dancer and actress awaits the release of Champion this week.

Her dance moves in the song, I Am A Champion, have been liked by netizens. While the song itself is quite run-of-the-mill, her energy and her chemistry with Roshan are striking. If the film becomes a hit, Avantika will be flooded with offers. It's also likely that she is interested in gaining a foothold in the Telugu film industry.

Last year, her popularity rose thanks to the American musical teen comedy film, Mean Girls. Also seen in Telugu films like Balakrishnudu, Rarandoi Veduka Chudham, and Oxygen, Avantika didn't do an Indian project in the last three years. She played guest roles in TV shows like The Sex Lives of College Girls, Big Girls Don't Cry, and Cartoonified with Phineas and Ferb.
