After appearing for the SIT summons on Friday, BRS leader KT Rama Rao (KTR) told the media that he questioned investigators regarding which actress had filed a complaint about phone tapping. According to KTR, the officials failed to provide a name, claiming that all details had already been clarified. He alleged "character assassination".
While the broader investigation focuses on the alleged illegal surveillance of over 600 individuals, there have been persistent allegations involving the tapping of Tollywood actresses. KTR has publicly addressed these rumors, stating today that he asked SIT officials about these "fabricated stories". As per him, the officials denied such specific findings.
In the past, the name of a prominent female actor was dragged into political mudslinging.
