Veteran director Kodanda Ramireddy's son Vaibhav's latest movie 'Aalambana' will hit the cinemas on December 15 simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. Parvathy Nair has been cast opposite the hero. Directed by Pari K Vijay, it is a genie comedy co-starring Murali Sharma, Dindigul I Leoni, Pandiyaraj, Anandraj, Kabir Singh, Kali Venkat, and Robo Shankar.

Speaking to the media on Monday, actor Vaibhav said that 'Aalambana' is a big project in his filmography. "This is a full-length family entertainer. Maheshwar Reddy garu is releasing the Telugu version. This is meant to be watched in theatres, given its visual grandeur and beauty. Please enjoy this comedy in a cinema hall," Vaibhav added. The hero is counting on the comedy woven around the genie (played by Munishkant), the most prominent character that enters the screen fifteen minutes into the film. Two of the action sequences composed by Peter Hein will stand out, the makers said.

The actor started in Telugu but has been in Kollywood for many years. "I did receive a few good roles. But I couldn't do them for some or the other reason," Vaibhav said.

Debutant director Vijay said that the brand of action in the film is not run-of-the-mill. "They are not typical fights. Just because this is a genie comedy, please don't assume it is meant only for kids. 'Aaalambana' is as much for adults as it is for amusement-hungry children," the director added, thanking the producer for ensuring excellent production values.

Parvathy Nair felt that she has been unlucky not to have done any Telugu film so far despite receiving some offers. "I couldn't do them. Coming to 'Aalambana', this is a thorough entertainer in which my character is very good," she added.

Ganga Entertainments' Maheshwar Reddy said that this is his first release in Telugu since Sivakarthikeyan's surprise hit 'Varun Doctor'.

With art direction by Gopi Anand and the cinematography by Vinoth Rathinasamy, the film's music is by Hip Hop Tamizha.
