Describing Kantara Chapter 1 as a mind-blowing film that left him in a "trance", Allu Arjun today heaped praises on the latest pan-Indian blockbuster. He appreciated Rishabh Shetty's "one-man show as writer, director, and actor", adding that he "excelled in every craft" in the period mythological action drama.
In a glowing review, Allu Arjun praised the "aesthetic performances" by actress Rukmini Vasanth, his Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo co-star Jayaram, and Gulshan Devaiah. The Pushpa actor was all praise for the brilliant work by the technicians, singling out composer Ajaneesh Loknath's work as the first among the best. Aravind S Kashyap's cinematography, Dharani Gange's art direction, and Arjun Raj's stunts also came in for a mention. Congratulating producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, Allu Arjun wrote, "Honestly, words fall short to describe the experience. Lots of love, admiration, and respect."
Kantara Chapter 1 has grossed Rs 818 Cr, as per the makers. Allu Arjun is currently working on an Atlee directorial produced by Sun Pictures and co-starring Deepika Padukone.
