'Indian 2' is going to head to theatres on July 12 after enormous delays and a never-ending wait. Director Shankar has cast Kamal Haasan and Siddharth in leading roles in the movie.
As per the buzz on social media, the vigilante action entertainer will feature the 'Bommarillu' actor in the role of a conscientious, activist YouTuber who does sensational, viral videos exposing dodgy deals and shady happenings. Kamal Haasan's character, Senapathy, who has been in an exile, returns to India clandestinely to enable Siddharth's selfless mission.
If true, the plot has some potential. However, it doesn't sound exciting enough on the face of it.
The film is produced by Lyca Productions. A song has been released already. 'Indian 2' also features Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar and others. Music and cinematography are by Anirudh and Ravi Varman, respectively.
