Rakul Preet Singh Interview on Winner

Rakul Preet Singh starrer Winner will be releasing on 24th February. In this interview she talks about her role, how she got along Sai Dharam, her future plans to be a producer and the recent molestation case of Bhavana that rocked the film industry.

Tell us about your character in the film?
I play a character called Sitara. She is an independent athletic girl who has no time for love. It is not an out and out athletic film, but someone who is focused. Since I am already into gyming I did not have much prep work to do. If I was not into fitness then this film would require a lot of prep work.

Is it the same for Sai Dharam as well?
Winner is a commercial film with strong emotional wave in it. Sai Dharam also has got a plum role here. He plays a horse jockey. We have not seen such roles in Tollywood. Sai Dharam had to actually train for this role.

How was it acting with Sai Dharam?
He is a lovely guy and a good friend. We all hit off well at the sets. We would talk so much. Teju, Regina, Rashi and Sundeep, we were all a good team and had a lovely time shooting. Teju is a good person. Can you believe he calls his mom and talks to her for an hour? I too don't do that.

You have lost many films how do you feel about that?
I missed being a part of Brahmotsavam. The makers of Autonagar Surya dropped me. Also I missed a big Kollywood film. There are more, for now lets leave it. There must be a reason that I might have missed these films. God has been grateful to me.

Kollywood offers...
There is a film with Karthi. It will commence in March. A film with Suriya is yet to be signed. Some Tamil projects are in the pipeline.

Murugadoss-Mahesh Babu movie is getting bigger...
Its a thriller and I must say an intelligent film. Mine is a funny, studious character. I even get to wear a spectacle. Mahesh Babu is a cop in the film. He is very punctual. He gets so involved in his films. Since this is a bilingual we had to shoot in two languages. 50 percent of my scenes are over in the film.

Will you produce films?
I am already a business woman. But many have suggested that I stay away from producing films. I don't know if I would produce a film.
