The hype for the SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ has reached sky that was never seen before for any movie till date. Tollywood industry along with the audience from all over India are eagerly waiting for the release of the film. Finally, Telugu hit maker SS Rajamouli’s huge-budget periodic action spectacular ‘Baahubali’ is releasing worldwide this Friday i.e. on July 10, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam in nearly 4000 screens worldwide. The film features south Indian top artistes such as Young Rebel Star Prabhas, Handsome Hunk Rana, Gorgeous Anushka, Milky Beauty Tamannaah, Sathyaraj, Nassar and Ramya Krishnan in key roles. The film is being produced by Sobhu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works banner with K Raghavendra Rao as presenter. MM Keeravani has scored wonderful music. On the eve of film’s release, an interview has been given by our Young Rebel Star Prabhas.

Prabhas admitted - I would like to say sorry to my fans through the media.
“We tried to complete the film in one and half year, but it took two and half years. Fans are eagerly waiting for the film since two and half years. I think they felt sad also. But, after watching the film, they realize that it will definitely take that much time to make such a huge film. ‘Baahubali’ is the most prestigious film in Telugu. You will be thrilled to see this film,” he said.

I had not felt this kind of pressure even for his debut film-
“All the films which I’ve done so far are aside and this film is another side. I’ve faced many tensions for this film that I had not felt this kind of pressure even for my debut film. I kept myself free for two years for just this film. It’s a huge budget movie, grand release in four languages. I’m in a type of emotion,” he added.

It’s a big challenge in my career-
I didn’t feel risk when I was doing Baahubali. Because, it has been a long time to see such films. Audience will always look for new stories. It’s a big-budget movie and that’s why we are releasing it in many languages and in many theaters. After watching the visuals, great director Karan Johar also appreciated that it is like Indian Avatar.

I had accepted the film without even hearing the story, only because of director Rajamouli-
Initially, we had planned the film on different subjects like Srikrishnadevaraya, Alluri Seetharama Raju and another king. But Rajamouli was not comfortable with those subjects and he finally came up with Baahubali. We too were very impressed with the script.

My next film will be after the planning of ‘Baahubali’ part-2-
‘Baahubali’ part-2 will start from September 15. Though I’ve some time in between, but I need some time for the work-out. I need to go with perfect planning. My next film depends on the planning of ‘Baahubali’ part-2. If I find long gap, I will decide then.

That’s why we decided to release it in two parts-
The story is so big that we can’t say it through one film. We tried compressing the entire story into one film, but realised it was not working as we were losing some of the film’s emotional quotient. That’s why we decided to release it in two parts, in a gap of 10 months.

“Rajamouli and I are good friends. We used to discuss about the film whenever we find time. We decided to make a huge project, but we understood that the response which got for the first schedule is 100 times more than what we expectated. Not just in India, ‘Baahubali’ has got great craze in Hollywood also,” Mr Prabhas said.

It’s a one in lifetime movie.
I just kept myself free for two years for this film. It’s the Indian’s biggest movie and it is releasing in many languages. Many have worked hard for the good outcome of the film. Rajamouli has taken due care on everything. Rajamouli and his family, Senthil and Sabusiril and many others have invested their two years’ time and kept their heart and sour for the good outcome of the film.

There will be ‘Baahubali’ impact in my future films-
The film like ‘Baahubali’ will get once in lifetime to every artist. I consider myself lucky to get the opportunity to act in this film. I’m aware that there will be ‘Baahubali’ impact in my future films. I’ve to choose carefully.

Action part is very challenging-
‘Baahubali’ has been shot for 380 days and out of those I worked for 300 days. In that action part was 250 days. I was suffered a minor shoulder injury for which I have undergone a surgery too. So it became challenging.

Rumours are a big torture for us-
In Kerala, I had injured my hand after slipping in mud and had to visit a doctor. The next day the news spread that ‘Prabhas is in coma’, ‘Prabhas suffers head injury’, etc. My uncle (Krishnam Raju) got some hundreds of calls about my health. These rumours are big torture for us for 6 to 7 months. Abot marriage he said, “I would get married after ‘Baahubali’.

Producers played a pivotal role in making the film in a grandeur way-
‘Baahubali’ is a vision designed movie. It needs guts and patience to take such a big budget film on sets. Hats off to the producers Sobhu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni. They have given full freedom to our unit members to make the film in a grandeur way. Now the film is coming to the audience in a grand level. I think I may not see such type of producers in future.

When asked about his co-stars Anushka and Tamanna, he said, “’Baahubali’ is the third film with Anushka. She is a very comfortable heroine. Tamanna is very hard worker and professional.”

About his next projects he said, “I have agreed to work with director Sujith and I am planning a commercial film with a good subject under Gopala Krishna Movies banner.”
