Anjali lends her voice for ‘Chitrangada’
Prominent actress Anjali, who played the title role in ‘Chitrangada’, has sung a song in the film. ‘Chitrangada’, which is being made as a horizontal thriller comedy in Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously, is being carved out by ‘Pilla Zamindar’ fame G Ashok. Gangapatnam Sridhar and Rammohan are jointly producing this lady oriented film on Sri Vighnesh Karthik Cinema and Creative Dravidians banners. Currently, post-production works are in progress. Interesting thing is that, Anjali has sung a song which comes in the lines ‘Da…Da…Dang…Dang…Dungchuk…Dangchuk…Apple Cell Phone…Apple Ratuki Vasthe…Ashadam Sale Lo Audi Gift Ga Vasthe…’. The song composed by Selva Ganeshan and Swaminadhan was recorded recently.
Briefing about the film’s details, producers said, “The film was made on the horizontal thriller comedy genre which was not touched by anyone till now. ‘Chitrangada’ will goes on in a thrilling and suspense mode from the starting till the end of the film. The twists in the film will leave audience in shock. The song which was sung by Anjali will stand out as highlight for the film. She also sung for Tamil version. Anjali has played a different role which she has not touched so far in her career. Her performance in the title role will stand out as highlight for the film. A girl in the film gets into troubles due to some supernatural powers. What twists and turns has she to come across and how she overcomes the ordeals is the story of the film. After super hit film ‘Geetanjali’, heroine Anjali is playing the title role in this women centric film. Each and every scene in the film will goes on in a suspense and thrilling mode with lot of twists and turns. As per the story requirement, we have shot some key scenes at some picturesque locations of America. We are planning to release the audio by the end of this month and the film in April.”
Anjali, Sindhu Tolani, Sapthagiri, Raksha, Raja Ravindra, Jyothi and Sakshi Gulati are playing key roles in the film.
