Tollywood Senior actor Vinod passes away

Renowned Tollywood actor Vinod breathed his last on Saturday in the early morning at around 2 am at his residence due to brain stroke. He was 59. Vinod was seen in many films as character artist and villain including Telugu and Tamil. He acted in more than 300 films and also acted in several TV serials.

Vinod’s original name was Arisetty Nageshwara Rao. Born in Tenali, he made his entry into the film industry as hero with the film ‘Keerthi Kantha Kanakam’ directed by V Visweswara Rao in 1980 but rose to fame with his outstanding performance in Venkatesh starrer ‘Chanti’ where he played one of the brothers of Meena. Later, he played prominent roles alongside star heroes like Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi.

Vinod’s sudden demise has left the Telugu film industry in a state of shock. We at Ragalahari.com express our condolences to his bereaved family. We pray to God for his soul rest in peace.
