Kollywood biggies are taking Tollywood films as an example and asking their Tamil heroes to learn from Telugu heroes. At a promotional event of Tamil version of Allu Arjun starrer ‘Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India’ titled ‘En Peru Surya En Veedu India’, we heard some nice things about Telugu heroes. Producer KE Gnanavel Raja, who delivered several super hit films on his Studio Green banner, has lavished praise on Telugu film industry. He stated that there is a great understanding between actors and producers in Tollywood.

Speaking highly about the Telugu film industry, the producer said, “The salary paid to Telugu heroes for their films is much reasonable. Hence they spend the rest of the amount in production and so Telugu films look rich and therefore they able to sustain in northern parts of India unlike Tamil films.” He added that Tamil heroes should adjust their remuneration depending on the business a film does.

He lashed out at Tamil heroes and stated, “In Kollywood, if a hero’s film does a business of Rs 100 crores, they demand a salary of 50 crores. However, no matter how big a star is in Telugu film industry, they only charge Rs 15 crores. Similar understanding has to be achieved in Tamil film producers and heroes. If they don’t change in a year, I would have to move to Tollywood and start producing Telugu films. I already bought an office in Hyderabad.

Currently, Gnanavel Raja is producing several projects in Tamil and also producing Vijay Devarkonda’s bilingual ‘NOTA’.

Congrats Telugu heroes for receiving praises from Gnavel Raja.
