Now, Tollywood’s beautiful actress Rakul Preet Singh has been appointed as brand ambassador for Telangana state ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ programme.

Rakul, who always interested in doing service to the society, has participated in the International Girl Child Day celebrations organised jointly by the department of Telangana Women and Child Welfare and Plan International and Women Organisations and there she signed the agreement to be the Brand Ambassador of Telangana state ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ initiative. She lauded the state government for implementation of the welfare schemes which benefit a larger section of people.

Speaking on the occasion, Rakul Preet Singh said, “I will do my best to create awareness among the people to protect and educate their girl child. Girl child should be confident about her goals. They should know their responsibilities and respect their families who sacrifice so much for them. It is the high time parents should treat boys and girls equally.”

When a girl student asked Rakul why it’s always a hero has to save the heroine in films not the other way around, Rakul replied, “Young girls need to come up with such powerful roles for heroines. You are the future. You can only end the discrimination and gender bias.”

With this Rakul Preet Singh has become even more closer to Telugu people.
