Nayanthara Wins FilmFare Award For 'Vasuki'

Star heroine Nayanthara played the title role in the film ‘Vasuki’, which is dubbed version of Malayalam super hit ‘Puthiya Niyamam’. Nayanthara won Filmfare Best Actress Award this year for her performance in ‘Puthiya Niyamam’. The film is about a strong woman who fights against humiliation on females.

SR Mohan is presenting this Malayalam super hit film to Telugu spectators under Sriram Cinemas Banner with the name Vasuki. The film’s trailer which was released recently had got overwhelming response from cine goers.

Since Nayanthara is doing the lead role and also the subject deals with present-day hitches in society, craze has been multiplied on the project. Above all, Nayanthara won FilmFare Award for the film. Distributors are keen on acquiring theatrical rights of the film.

Producer SR Mohan said, “I’m very much happy for Nayanthara winning FilmFare Award for the film. Buzz is extremely high on the film which was a blockbuster in Malayalam. This will surely enthrall Telugu audiences as well.”
