Rockline Venkatesh Acquired Remake Rights Of ‘Sairat’

‘Sairat’ is a Marathi film which has created sensation worldwide. The film which was made with 4 crores has created rare record in Marathi films by crossing 100 crores milestone. The film that starred Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar in the lead roles, is set in the backdrop of prestige and murders. Nagraj Manjule is the director. The film which has won the hearts of prominent Bollywood stars like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar, has gained quite a good buzz for the remake rights. Finally, booming production house Rockline Entertainments Pvt Ltd head Rockline Venkatesh and Zee Studios have bagged the remake rights of the film.

On this occasion, Rockline Venkatesh said, “Personally, I like the film ‘Sairat’ and therefore decided to remake it. The film has received a standing ovation at 66th Berlin Film Festival. This is the first Indian film which had its songs recording at Sony Symphony Studio in Los Angeles. The film has a well-known story, but director Nagraj Manjule has crafted it in a heart touching way. Rinku Rajguru, who played female lead, has won national award. The film has created sensation among small budget films with its big success. We are going to remake that super hit film in Telugu and Tamil languages. We have finalized the cast and crew. At present, the hunt for the locations is going on. We will soon announce the further details of the film.”
