Taking a clue from a recent Tamil film ‘Bommalattam’ the director Guna Sekhar is hell bent in not disclosing the name of the heroine as well as her face.  In ‘Bommalattam’, the director converts a male character into a heroine and erases the signs of her as the film progresses.  Similarly here also Gunasekhar is trying to practice the secrecy in real life.  Hope, he is not doing the same as happening in ‘Bommalattam’.  Well! Let us come back to the movie ‘Varudu’.  It is certainly the dream project for Allu Arjun, whose asking quality has gone up due to his recent award winning performance in ‘Parugu’.

After giving hit through ‘Desamuduru’, Arjun  joins hands with the same producer DVV Danayya for ‘Varudu’ which apparently happens to be x film of Universal Entertainment banner.  Since the heroine’s details have not yet revealed there is no much to say about her except that she is a debutant would have certainly done her best under the guidance of successful and experienced director like Guna Sekhar. Apart from this heroine’s stunt, Gunasekhar has also come out with a new idea of using 50 actual families from real life to act in the movie.  Well! 50 is a big figure leading to chaos and confusions in normal circumstances and even it will normally difficult to remember who’s who.  This will be a challenge to the director.  The audience will be eagerly wanting to see how this is handled.

When it comes to other departments, music comes from well experienced Mani Sharma who is known as music brahma in Telugu industry.  The audio function that has taken place in a very unique way with the entire cast and crew in Telugu traditional dress is yet another gimmick of marketing.  Well! Leaving all this music is no doubt a complete product depicting Telugu nativity.  Mani Sharma composed the music in a very traditional style and the songs explain the entire tradition of a Telugu wedding custom, which is very essential to the youth of this generation among whom it is fading much faster.

These songs in this film depict the Telugu wedding customes, so one can figure out that this is a full fledged family entertainer. A special mention is needed for lyrics penned by Veturi Sundarramamurthy because though in 70s, unless one is young at heart cannot pen such wonderful lyrics.  While one song, literally a long one describes the marriage function, the other one handles the post marital processes.  He has also not disappointed in romance department with lyrics leading one to a pretty romance mood.

In general all Allu Arjun films are visual feast to audience, especially due to songs and dances in exquisite sets and locations.  As he is known as Andhra Michael Jackson, it is natural to expect good dance movements from him in his films.  However, this film seems to be an exclusive one, being a traditional film.  The stills seen in websites indicate that he has played good action part indeed.  For the moment let me call the unknown girl as Anamika.  Let me ask whether she can really become a fit pair for active Allu Arjun, who is ‘Varudu’?  Well! Wait till April 2nd.
