Inspiring Indian Innovation award 2015 announced

Hyderabad, 20th August 2015: Promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and technology, India Gadget Expo today announced the "Inspiring Indian Innovation Award". The award ceremony will take place at the INDIA GADGET EXPO (IGE) to be held in Hyderabad from 18th to 21st September 2015 at HITEX Convention Centre. The "Inspiring Indian Innovation Award" was introduced by Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, I.A.S, Secretary, Information Technology (IT); Government of Telangana. The event which is slated to be India's premier Tech show is supported by the Government of Telangana.

The award is conceptualised to honour the Indian Innovations and recognise their commitment and dedication to promote India an Innovation hub. The sole objective behind the initiative is to motivate the next big ideas, driven by the power of technology.
There is a need for creating "the Culture of Innovation" in India where we adopt internal processes that encourage and reward innovators to continually push the boundaries in finding new solutions. We need to create incubation centres for developing Systemic Innovation Engagement Models. An important part of the culture of innovation is to ensure that we recognize the breakthrough work and the Inspiring Innovation Awards is a step in the same direction.

Inspiring Indian Innovation Awards will be recognizing the innovators through the awards under two categories of Entreprise and Consumer devices for

• Best Innovation,
• Best start-up (early stage)
• Best start-up( growth stage)
• Best Social impact product
• Best student IoT project

The top 10 finalists in each category will get free Exhibition space at the India Gadget Expo and top 3 will be awarded cash prize. The last date for the awards entries is August 31, 2015

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, India Gadget Expo said, "The 'Inspiring India Innovation (13)' will provide a platform to startups to showcase their innovative gadgets to a wide audience that include both consumers and angel investors. With these awards we aim to recognize and encourage creative innovations with cutting edge products. The recognition will motivate start-ups the growth engines, manifesting the power of innovation. "

Technology is going to touch lives in several ways, making it easier adaptive to human emotions, preferences and choices. Entrepreneurs and start-ups must keep innovating to boost domestic production of electronic and tech devices. India Gadget Expo will be India's premier Gadget show and will showcase 1000+ Gadgets, 300+ exhibitors from 12 countries. It is designed to promote some revolutionary gadgets for the 1st time in India. It will serve as a platform for over 75 Startups to showcase their innovative gadgets Highly engaging agenda of seminars covering Mobile tech, Smart Cities, Gaming, Auto tech, etc
The 4-day event is expected to witness an enormous footfall of around 1 lakh visitors and participants across the world from varied segments including Global Investors, CEOs and Managing Directors, Technology Professionals and enthusiasts, Dealers/ Distributors, Government officials, Consumers and students.
