About Deepskikha Mahila Club

Deepshikha Mahila Club is a leading philanthropic organization that was established in 1965, by 5 like minded ladies with an aim of social, financial and educational assistance to the weaker section of the society, and now after 47years it has strength of about 140 members.

The club had adopted Kanya Gurukul High School, a government aided school in the year 1986, and is imparting free education to girl child in Telugu Medium. In the year 2004 the Club started Kanya Gurukul English Medium School with the objective of further spreading the light of education in our lesser privileged society and instead of only girl child we made this stream as co-education. This year the school has around 650 students.

In its relentless endeavor to work towards a literate society, our Club in the year 2008 has taken a step further and started Deepshikha Junior Vocational College with the motive of training students in various fields like physiotherapy, office assistantship, computer science, lab technicians, multipurpose health workers, etc with the intention of helping them become self sufficient. This year the Junior College has around 200 students.
We also run a vocational training center that provides empowerment to the less privileged, young women by teaching them various skills like tailoring, embroidery, computer science & pre - primary training courses.

Deepshikha has always come forward to help be it the heart surgery for the underprivileged children(06), or extending a helping hand to the families affected by Tsunami - funding their rehabilitation(100 families), or sending help to the soldiers at the " Front " at the Kargil - War, or providing Artificial Limbs to more than 100 physically challenged people, or helping to build looms for the weavers whose lives were devastated by the floods in Mahaboobnagar and Kurnool districts. These are a few causes from the recent past for which DEEPSHIKHA stood up.

And Deepshikha continues to serve humanity in every possible way.

Installation meeting is held on 12th June, 2013 at Hotel Radisson Blu.
