'Pochampally IKAT Art Mela' 2013 Inaugurated by Jaya Prakash Narayan

Pochampally Handloom park organised 'Pochampally IKAT Art Mela 2013' a 10-days Handloom Products exhibition near Bank of Maharashtra, MIG- 314, 4th road, Phase -1 KPHB Colony, Hyderabad. The Mela will be on till 10st Jan 2013.
Ikat Art mela inaugurated by sri Jaya Prakash Narayan , Member of legislative assembly . followed by Venkata Samarajayam , GHMC Corporator. Ram Gopla, Asst Director, Handlooms and Textiles, Govt of Andhra Pradesh.

“Platforms such as this are required to reach out women looking for well-designed hand made cotton, silk wear & exclusive home textile , Which can see the blend of different style and concept of handloom Products & Hand made creations coming together under one roof Created by world famous Weavers of Pochampally’’ said Mr Jaya Prakash Narayan.

“Handlooms are part of an age old Indian tradition- element of Indian culture and rich artistry. By promoting handlooms, we support the artisans and local community who have been passing on their skills for generations. Promoting creativity and originality, each design is a result of individual artisans creativity which is influenced by the local traditions and cultures” Chairman , Pochampally Handloom Park, Mr Devender, Director Damoder, Promoter Krishna Said.

Exhibiting Exclusive Handloom products like , Hand made Bed & Home Linen, Dress Materials, Silk & Cotton Saris in exquisite designs & Contemporary colours by famous designers, Skillfully created by world famous Weavers ofPochampally. Ranging from home textile to apparel fabrics, stoles, scraves, and sarees in silk & Cotton, duppatas, table mats, covers, cotton shirts & Kurtis , Hand bags, and engineered blends.
