We have been here in Hyderabad for the past six months with MNR Scottdale School. WE both teach American English, Spanish and French to the local students. The Sottdale School besides regular school curriculum, it has foreigners teaching foreign languages such as American English, British English, Spanish, French among other foreign languages. Five international language teachers teach foreign languages at Scottdale they said.

The students at this school enjoy cultural exchange and learning foreign languages such as French, Spanish, German and advanced English from foreign staff members drawn from countries like USA, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, South Africa, Newzealand. Etc. This experience helps local students to compete with global students in various international universities.

World is a global village. Geographies have shrunk. People are increasingly interacting with people from different countries. Hence, teaching kids foreign languages right from early childhood makes them truly global workforce, said Ligia Martinez.

"A child is born with the ability to learn any language in the world," she explained.

Now Mandarin has become the most preferred language. Kids in Rockwell International are learning Chinese in their school. Just like how America is regarded as the land of opportunity for the global workforce, so will be China in the near future. Hence, we started teaching our tiny tots Mandarin informed the school.

With the global business focus shifting from West to China, India may lose its edge as the largest pool of English speaking population. With this shift around the corner, there is going to be increasing interaction between India and China. Hence schools are also teaching Chinese language said Mrs Usha, a language expert.
