Celebrity Cricket League PM

For the first time in India, Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) creates that platform where the film fraternities from South and Bollywood will battle each other for the popular top spot a La the cricket way. The explosive multi-starrer action entertainer will take off from the first week of June 2011. The first season of CCL will comprise of 4 teams – Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Bollywood film industries – playing 6 League Matches and One Explosive Final.

The teams of CCL have been finalised. To brief the details of it, a press conference was held at Film Nagar Chamber Cultural Center in Hyderabad today. In this press meet Venkatesh, the captain of south team, Manchu Vishnu and Sarath participated.

Addressing the media Venkatesh said, “These cricket matches will begin from June month onwards. There are altogether 4 teams - Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi. One team will be formed with heroes from Telugu, Tamil and Kannada industries and this team will battle the Bollywood heroes team. The first match will be held on March 5th at Vizag which is a day and night match and it’s a 20-20 match. Yesterday’s world cup match between India and England was quite thrilling.”

Manchu Vishnu said, “So far we have not done any net practice for the cricket matches. But everyone is practicing individually. There is a lot of craze for film stars cricket.”
