Actress Sakshi Agarwal inaugurates Pochampally IKAT Art Mela at Chennai

Much to the delight of the fashion connoisseurs,'Pochampally IKAT art Mela 2014' a 10-days Hand woven Eco friendly Handloom Products exhibition begins at The C.P.Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation, C.P.Art Centre, No.1, Eldams Road, Alwarpet, Chennai. Kollywood Actress Sakshi Agarwal inaugurated the Mela by lighting the traditional lamp. The Expo will be on till 14th December 2014.
“It’s glad to see various apparel, particularly designer Fabrics,silk and cotton sarees, to be showcased for the Fashion Connoisseurs. Platforms such as this are required to reach out women looking for well-designed hand made cotton, silk wear & exclusive home textile” Actress Sakshi, said on the occasion.

“Handlooms are part of an age old Indian tradition element of Indian culture and rich artistry. By promoting handlooms, we support the artisans and local community who have been passing on their skills for generations. Promoting creativity and originality, each design is a result of individual artisans creativity which is influenced by the local traditions and cultures”said Krishna –Ex Chairman and Lava Kumar-Director- Pochampally Handloom Park.
