Hyderabad, 13th February, 2018: In keeping with its larger endeavor of working towards reducing education inequality with its flagship CSR initiative Teaching Tree, K Raheja Corp announces the return of the Teaching Tree Carnival. Backed on the success of the carnival hosted in January 2017, which saw an enormous response from employees at Mindspace, the carnival is back this year, only bigger and better. Flagging off the carnival, as a prelude to the main event day, the students of NGO Teach For India came together to offer an exclusive privy into their creative work which will be on display on the final day, slated for 23rd February 2018 at the Central Recreation Grounds, Mindspace, Madhapur.
A day-long grand affaire, the Carnival will see artistic display of handmade creations, workshops and fun games organized by the Teach for India kids and fellows (volunteers). It offers a platform for students to showcase their handicrafts and talent to the corporate world with the endeavor to give them exposure to a world outside of theirs.
This year the carnival will showcase projects prepared by students including art and culture creations, along with games, and creative workshops. Handmade trinkets including bangles, earrings, bracelets, origami products, doodle and comic creations made by students will be displayed for sale. Adding to the frolic elements will be a magician, a tattoo artist and a whole lot of entertainment. The stalls will be decorated by the kids amidst a fun-filled atmosphere, some of which include;
- Little Math Maniacs – This math concept stall will tap into logic, thinking and solving in a fun way with games that intrigue visitors.
- Comics and Cartooning - Dynamic charts filled with comics prepared by students will be a major attraction with ‘on-spot cartooning.’
- Creative Waste Management – The stall will exhibit teamwork of students who have created bags out of old t-shirts and will display doodle artworks after mastering the hobby.
- Art work – A stall displaying postcard and greeting cards made by children.
- Ultimate Frisbee – Imparting life skills through Frisbee - gender equality among children through mixed-gender sport.
Apart from stalls, workshops, and interactive sessions, students will be performing to showcase their talent to a larger group of audience in the form of dance, drama, and others. Fun game stalls including balloon darts, spin the wheel, ping pong, ring the bottle, and other games will entertain kids and the visitors.
Speaking on the initiative, The K Raheja Corp said in a statement, “Teaching Tree’s annual carnival is something we at our business park Mindspace, as well as our clients working out of the here look forward to.
