Tarun Turk Mhatare Ark -A play written by Prof. Madhukar Tordmal is one such play revolving around the hilarious experiences & humorous adventures from different episodes of his tenure as a professor in Ahmednagar. The play features the little joys and moments of life that are untold and often go unnoticed with college/hostel back ground is a hilarious laugh riot three play act presenting the comical events between notorious students & professors, Mr. D.D. Thatte -An aged industrialist who joins the hostel as a pre degree student to get back his love -Parvathi a lecturer in the same college who is also courted by professor Bartakke setting the angles for the eternal love triangle and the last story emphasis on the fierce competition of the Young Turks - Bandu & Pyare wooing the popular college queen Damayanti completing the "second love triangle "symbolically fulling the paradox of the play's name - “Tarun Turk Mhatare Ark" meaning "Young Turks and Aged Extracts".
Vimal Natya Samaj was founded in the year 1941 by Late Shrimant Aba Saheb Jagirdar who was a courtier in Nizam State was a renowned organ player and admirer of Marathi Natya Sangeet took a keen interest to venerate , spread & honor the heritage and culture of Marathi Drama by entertaining the Marathi community in Hyderabad.
The Dramas based on Mythological stories with duration of 5-6 hours were popular along with heartfelt shouts of "once mores" for the beautiful songs that were performed during the play. Marathi Musical Classics such as Sangeet Soubhadra, Sangeet Swayamvar, Sangeet Manapman, Sangeet Mrichakatik, Sangeet Sharada, Sangeet Vidya Haran, Sangeet Ekach Pyala, Sangeet Punya Prabhav, Sangeet Matsya ,Gandha, Sangeet Kanhopatra etc were celebrated plays.
