South Asian Film Festival felicitated Brahmanandam
Whereas, the Telugu film industry is the second -largest film industry in India next to Bollywood film Industry holding the Guinness World Record for the largest film production facility in the world; and whereas, the legendary Indian film actor and comedian Mr. Brahmanandam Kanneganti, well known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema, holding the Guinness World Record for the most screen credits for a living actor, is on his first visit to our State, and whereas, Mr. Kanneganti has been honored with numerous awards and recognition including the coveted Padma Shri from the Govt. of India, for his contribution to Indian cinema and regarded as one of the finest and highest paid comic actors of India, noted particularly for his comic expressions; and whereas, after beginning his career as a teacher he still remains grounded as a fine human being and stay humbled even at the epitome of fame and success of the show world; and now, therefore, I, Cyrus Habib, Lt. Governor of Washington, do hereby recognize Mr. Bramhanandam Kanneganti for being the Guest of Honor at Tasveer’s 12th South Asian Film Festival and felicitated by NATS SEATTLE and the local Telugu Community at the University of Washington South Asia Center for his immense contributions to art, entertainment and in bringing the communities all over the world together. And urge all citizens to join me in recognizing this special person during his visit to our State of Washington.
