After a one week gap, Physical Literacy Days, Week 22 activity moves to the new and more spacious venue, Gachibowli Stadium. This change was necessitated due to the ongoing roadworks from IDBI Bank to Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy.
A huge number of families visited PL days on the 22nd week to take part at the new venue. Many entertainment and fun programs held. Novotel Hyderabad Airport & GRYCS conducted fitness challenge activities which received good response from participants.
We enjoy PL days. I brought my parents today and made them play all native games which they played about 20 years ago. They are thrilled. I wish this event happens in all location says Sai Raja, one of the participants.
GRYCIS conducted Fitness Challenge; Abhimanika Zumba Fitness; Mani Pavitra Yoga; D- Chameleon Skating; Kondapur Health Club Cycling; BcubeBoxing Boxing ; Kids Arena Kids Games; Pampered Kids Street Games; Hobbylu Hobby workshops and Heartfulness Meditation Street meditation.
PL Days started on February 12 this year by Gopichand of Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy with an aim to improve Sports Knowledge and Physical Literacy in India. This initiative aimed to kick start ‘Physical Literacy movement’ in the city. ‘Physical Literacy Days’ is a community engagement program that aims to bring change in the well-being of people of Hyderabad from all sections/all ages, especially children by making them adopt an active lifestyle. A variety of fitness programs and fun activities are introduced for free access for people to participate. Until now Physical Literacy Days activities held on 1 km stretch from IDBI Bank Junction to Pullela Gopichand Academy. Now the venue shifted to Gachibolwi Stadium which can accommodate more participants.
