Motion poster of ‘Rakshasi’ starring Poorna, Abhinav Sardar, Abhimanyu Singh and Geetanjali in the lead roles, has been launched on January 6. Ashok Manda, Raj Dalavai and Tony are producing the film under Dream Catchers banner with Panna Royal as director. Lagadapati Sridhar launched the motion poster, while the title logo was released by Raj Kandukuri. K Suresh Babu has unveiled the poster. Poorna, Ravi Varma, director Panna Royal, Vinod Yajamanya, Abhimanyu Singh, Shani and producer Ashok Manda and some others have attended the function.
On this occasion, Poorna said, “I was a bit hesitant when I heard from director Panna Royal that I have to play mother of two children. But, after hearing the script I accepted the role. I will not be seen as Rakshasi in ‘Rakshasi’. Playing the mother role is a wonderful experience. I am confident that the film will stand out as another hit film in my career. Vinod Yajamanya’s music and Karna garu’s cinematography will stand out as highlight for the film.”
Addressing the gathering, director Panna Royal said, “While doing ‘Calling Bell’, I decided to do ‘Calling Bell 2’ also. But we fixed the title ‘Rakshasi’ for the sequel. With the support of producers, I am able to carve out the film in high standards. This film which is laced with good technical elements, will impress audience for sure.”
Shani said that the film will be up to everyone’s expectations.
“I was very much impressed by the script narrated by the director Panna Royal and therefore accepted to produce this film. Panna has carvedout ‘Rakshasi’ wonderfully,” said producer Ashok Manda.
Abhimanyu Singh said, “We got support from everyone. I am thankful to everyone who supported us. I played a wonderful role in ‘Rakshasi’.”
Wishing for the success of the film, Lagadapai Sridhar said, “Poorna, who acquired success with the films like ‘Avunu’, ‘Raju Gaari Gadhi’ and ‘Jayammu Nischayammuraa’, is acting for ‘Rakshasi’. I am sure it will stand out as big plus to the film. I wish the film will become big success.”
Speaking on the occasion, Raj Kandukuri said, “Background score will become big plus for this kind of films. Vinod Yajamanya’s music and Karna garu’s cinematography will stand out as highlight for the film. Director Panna and I have connection since the film ‘Calling Bell’. I wish Panna will get best director image after the success of ‘Rakshasi’.”
Poorna, Abhimanyu Singh, Abhinav Sardar, Geetanjali, Prudhvi, Sammeta Gandhi, Thagubothu Ramesh, Prabhas Srinu, ‘Ee Rojullo’ Sai, Shani, Phani, Priya, Baby Dhvani and Baby Kruthika and some others are part of the cast.
